A message from President Andy Westmoreland Good - TopicsExpress

A message from President Andy Westmoreland Good afternoon. This message will be delivered today to almost 5,000 people, so there is no way that I can know the array of emotions of each Samford student as we approach the last days of this semester. Just the same, my three decades in higher education have taught me that this is a time of year that is both joyous and fractured. We are joyous about this season, yet fractured because so much work remains before we can find long-awaited rest. I know the tension that you are probably feeling now because I feel it, too. Let me offer the simple assurance that, whatever you are facing, you will be okay. Establish priorities for your remaining assignments, clear away as much clutter as possible, take breaks as you are able to do so, make good use of your time, and divide your goals into pieces that can be accomplished, bit by bit. Millions of us have traveled this same road, so we are familiar with the territory. Well be cheering from the sidelines. May God bless each thought and each step during these days-- Andy Westmoreland
