A message you all must read: I wish a very happy International White-Cane Safety day to all blind friends in particular and whole society in general. This day gives us hope, courage, determination and passion to do some thing in life. I have messages for both blind and sighted friends. My first message to my blind friends is that unfortunately, we are treated as a separate community who share common characteristics, beliefs and ideas. Even our attitudes are monitored as the representatives of the behavior of whole community. So you are confronted with dual-tasking. At first level, your job is to behave decently in society to give an overall good impression of blind so-called blind community. On second level, you have to discard this impression that we are separate community. You have to work to eliminate your social isolation by extensively participating in social activities. My second message is for my sighted friends. We are not a separate community. Being humans, we are also naturallyborn citizens so we also have desires like normal human-beings. Our creative talents are not compromised by our apparent physical disability. Its a kind of abuse for us to undermine our individuality just on the basis of our physical problem Hence, isolation on the basis of blindness is disgraceful act for us . Feminism is right in asserting that women should not be viewed by an architipal image then we are also justified to demand that blindnessshould not be element in our isolation or integration. We demand you people as normal human-beings and give us try to integrate us in the the dmainstream of society through mutual co-operation. I admit that it is our responsibility to to struggle on our part but your co-operative role cannot be denied.
