A mild southerly flow of air will persist over the region tonight - TopicsExpress

A mild southerly flow of air will persist over the region tonight with thickening clouds. Low will range from near 40 in cooler spots where clouds remain thinner longer and the wind drops, to near 50° where clouds thicken up sooner and the wind stays up, so pretty mild. A weakening cold front is approaching and will bring showers into the Adks after midnight, then further east into Rutland County, the Lake George-Saratoga Region, Mohawk and Schoharie Valleys and W. Catskills towards 6am with a lot of them dissipating in the Hudson valley through 10am Wed. So the rain chance on Wed. is small, just a passing AM sprinkle or light shower, then some PM sun and a gusty W. Wind developing. Were near 60° on Wed. Rain develops on Thursday, cooler, highs closer to 50° with the rain system departing Friday morning leaving us gusty and cooler still, in the 40s. A few mixed rain and snow showers around Friday AM. More tonight beginning at 5pm on CBS6
