A mobile policeman attached to the Special Task Force (STF) on Jos crisis yesterday shot dead his colleague in Jol area of Riyom Local Government council of Plateau State. THISDAY gathered that two children between the ages of eight and 12 years were also shot in the fracas and are currently receiving treatment at the Vom Christian Hospital. When contacted, the spokesman of STF, Captain Salisu Mustapha, confirmed the incident, saying “a mobile police attached to STF shot dead his colleague who is also a mobile police officer in Jol Riyom LGC. “ According to him, two children were also seriously injured in the fracas and are receiving treatment at the Vom Christian Hospital, near Jos. He said it was not yet clear what informed the shooting by the policeman and the killing of his colleague. He said the officer was arrested and was being interrogated to ascertain the cause of the fracas.
