A month or so ago I had a bit ot a rant on here about people not supporting their local live music scene. Im trying NOT to rant or preach now, BUT... when one of Waless most original and wonderfully peculiar little bands - the Soft Hearted Scientists - play their first live gig in two and a half years, why the hell arent people going along to support them? This is a band that in years to come people are going to be talking about in reverential terms. Actually some already talk about them in those terms and rightly so. The gig, by the way, was at The Parrot in Carmarthen, and the Soft Hearted Scientists were bloody fantastic. A quick shout-out too to support act Vinna Bee who I also really enjoyed - we need more acts like this who play their own material and dont endlessly recycle covers.
