A most incredible visit to St Benedicts Painted Church. Just in time for their mass!!! Its interior was painted between 1899~1904 and moved to the present site at some stage. A Catholic Father named John Velge was responsible for the masterpiece! Somehow it seems it should be more protected. Shonnie Hays Scarola and Cheryl Swearingen I thought of you two and knew you would appreciate the beauty. The Priest saying the mass was very patient with all our gawking and picture taking... Yes, we were the last ones out the door... But we were not the ones responsible for the car alarm going off at an Inopportune time!
