A most meaningful day serving meals at The Salvation Army on Monday with some of my dear friends who are on the Interfaith Council at Thanks-Giving Square in Dallas. Bravo to the Salvation Army!! I am most grateful to have been able to speak to each person who received a meal, even if ever so briefly. I have often said that the vast majority of us are only a “few blocks” from being homeless, with no money in our pockets. Yes, there are some who cannot “come back across the divide,” even with money being provided to them. However, most of the gentlemen I looked in the eyes truly desire to be restored and live life in a responsible way. Truly, I can say that I love my dear friends who you see in this picture, a word, which many of you have heard or read from me, that I do not use lightly.
