A motorcycle ride through the beautiful landscape of dooars is an enchanting experience. I had the good fortune of having a brand new Royal Enfield at my disposal (albeit for a short time) to explore around the forests of Jaldapara and I loved every moment of the ride. In this short span I rode thru’ the lush green tea gardens with back drop of Bhutan Hills, crossed the vast expanse of river Torsa, with sea of Kaash rippling in the wind dominating the river bed, passed by the jaldapara forest range and finally entered the forest at Gayerkata range. The feeling of riding on the narrow trail leading through the dense forest is simply un-parallel which is further enhanced by the imminent danger of riding right into a heard of wild elephants. It’s beautiful country and I am looking forward to come back here soon spending more time and exploring every nook and corner on two wheels.
