A murder-suicide that happened in Newfoundland 11 years ago is being made into a mini-series for television. Universal Cable Productions has acquired the rights to a documentary on Shirley Turner and her son Zachary. Turner was resisting extradition to the U.S. for murdering ex-boyfriend Andrew Bagby. Turner later drowned herself and their son. That led to a public inquiry into this provinces social services system. A friend of Bagby told the story through a documentary called Dear Zachary, a letter to a son about his father.
