A new European Citizens Initiative on Education launched by the Greek think tank Το Δίκτυο - Diktyo Network aims to make education a priority in Europe. Their goal is to gain 1 million signatures to convince the European Commission to make a legislative proposal to exclude from the calculation of each countrys public spending deficit, that part of Government spending for education that is lower than the last 5-year Eurozone average. The initiative aims to use this money to invest in education by providing equal opportunities for #qualityeducation and training for all of Europes young people, an ideal the Forum also strives for in its work.
