A new ammonite specimen I have just obtained and identified. I believe it to be a Phylloceras ammonite which makes it Late Triassic to Early Jurassic. This specimen is from Madagascar which leads me to believe this is a Calliphylloceras which have been found and collected in Tulear , Madagascar of this quality. This specimen has some amazing iridescence on both sides giving of reds, oranges and blue/greens ( shown top right).
