A new sense of security has developed in the people of Jammu & Kashmir, thanks to the Narendra Modi Government at the Centre. People have been moved by the Centre’s prompt action and quick response in dealing with the recent devastating floods in the State. Moreover, India’s strong retaliation against ceasefire violations by Pakistan along the Line of Control — ever since Modi took the reins – has won the hearts of many. All these will work to the advantage of the BJP in the upcoming Assembly election. The BJP stands out from other political parties in Jammu & Kashmir. Congress, National Conference and PDP are covertly or overtly work for national disintegration. In sharp contrast, BJP’s agenda is essentially nationalist. It’s a clear choice for the voters of Jammu & Kashmir in whom they can repose their faith. The National Conference thrives on the agenda of greater autonomy. The PDP operates on the ideology of self-rule. The Congress, which has shared the bed with both the parties, is no different. All three parties have a hidden understanding with the separatist forces. The trouble-torn valley, which has been witnessing bloodbaths for several decades, is fed up with the separatists, their writ and the political parties which entertain them. The old political order of the valley is waiting to be replaced with a new order.
