A non-toxic medicine kit, supplement program and cleaning plan makes for peace of mind - I do not panic if I drop an herb/rag/pill on the floor where the dogs are (I grab it up quickly & I do freak out if I drop chocolate, etc. but feed charcoal immediately!!)... I dont have anything in the feedroom or tackroom that could poison an animal... nothing in my house (except I do store black walnut herb very carefully - it IS toxic to horses!) is toxic by definition - no pharmaceuticals, no horrible cleansers, NEVER mouse poison, herbicides or toxic bug sprays... anywhere. This gives me peace of mind. I put FOUR mouse repelling sonic things in the tackroom, I think they are starting to work. Tin cat in the house, neem oil, peppermint oil, etc. in the kitchen... I thought about all of this tonight when I dropped a colostrum capsule and Skipper grabbed it. I just smiled.
