A note from Fr. Chris Flesoras: On July 9 my wife Krissy - TopicsExpress

A note from Fr. Chris Flesoras: On July 9 my wife Krissy tragically died of lung cancer. After enduring the poking and prodding, the prescriptions, the visits to a host of doctors, and, and, and....for nearly two years, she reposed in peace. Although others will succumb to this deadly disease, others will survive and thrive thanks to the love and support of their families, the care of physicians, nurses and staff, the ongoing investigations of researchers that provide clinical trials and new treatments, the mentoring of other lung cancer survivors (and their family members), as well as the prayers to a gracious God and the kindness of many. Out of respect for Krissy as well as others who have lost their lives to lung cancer and those patients who continue to survive lung cancer together with their families, our family will continue to be advocates for the BJALCF. I therefore express my sincere gratitude to those of you who have supported Krissys Kause, krissyskause.org and the 2014 Your Next Step is the Cure at Lake Merced. On account of the generosity of so many, were a few hundred dollars away from 20K! Im hopeful that well stay toward the top in fundraising as Krissy was passionate about and most thankful for this wonderful foundation. Again, our gratitude to those of you who are joining us for the walk, and those of you who have donated. I also thank you for your common kindness and most importantly your prayers. Many years to Bonnie and the BJALCF, our friends, and those with and on behalf of whom we walk, who are waiting for a cure.
