A note from Mrs. Kennedy in Grade 1 A Note to Parents - October 28th to November 1st. Word study words for this week are: is, in it, I and where. We are learning some seasonal poems and songs in language, which the students are really enjoying. In math, we are moving to addition facts to ten and number awareness to twenty. If you have notes for me, please write in the planner, which I check each day. As the weather gets colder, please send extra mittens, hats and socks to school. The children are excited about the Hallowe’en dance on Thursday, and are encouraged to wear a costume or orange and black. Admission is $1 or a non-perishable food item for the food bank. Show and Share for Friday will be to bring something interesting from nature ( a favourite rock, feather, shell, etc.). Have a great week!
