WATER-BORNE DISEASES IN CHILDREN IN PAKISTAN Water-borne diseases, such as diarrhea and dysentery, worm infestation and scabies, and Hepatitis A, are common, while there are regular outbreaks of cholera and typhoid. The incidence of diarrhea among children has in fact risen in recent years. Pakistan has one of the highest child mortality rates in Asia. It is estimated that over 230,000 children die a year because of water-borne diseases, such as diarrhea and typhoid in Pakistan. The installation of magnetic systems in different water reservoirs have resulted in surprising changes in the water in just a few days. Water acquires biological activity and immediately changes its structure. After magnetic treatment, eighteen properties of water changes, leading to water self-regulation, e.g. destruction of pathogenic bacteria. The water treated by special magnetic systems has various applications.
