A note from the Director - "The Iberia Parish Council will vote to introduce a proposition to divert funds from the library’s current budget to fund the levee district. The levee tax put to the people earlier this year failed and a few council members have proposed to fund the failed project by taking money from successful budgets. Make no mistake if money is taken from the library’s budget it will mean a cut in library services. The meeting will be held on September 11th at 6:00 p.m. on the 4th floor of the courthouse on Iberia Street. To enter you must use the doors on the ground level at the rear of the building (the front doors are locked at 5:00 p.m.). This is a public hearing, so this is your chance to be heard."
