A note to my conservative FB friends: From time to time, I will "like" or "share" something with which I find some agreement. They are usually going to be connected in some way to identifiably "liberal" causes and concerns. You are more than welcome to post comments on my timeline of your disagreements with my support and/or position, but a lengthy posting consisting of a diatribe on the evils of liberal thinking, the Obama Administration, the evils of the Federal Government, etc., with a thought of changing my mind or opinion, let me save you no small amount of grief. I have not come to my present points of view lightly, without considerable thought and reflection, and the likelihood of my making major changes in any of them BECAUSE of your disapproval or disparagement is going to prove disappointing. I do understand your point of view. I was once as conservative as you may be now, and probably more conservative than most. I grew past that folly of my youth and am quite comfortable with the certitude of my position today. So, by all means, hold fast to your beliefs and your positions, but disabuse yourselves of the thought that you will ever succeed at turning me to the dark side.
