A notebook belonging to British explorer and photographer George Murray Levick, who was part of Robert Falcon Scott’s last expedition to the continent from 1910 to 1913, has been found in Antarctica by the New Zealand Antarctic Heritage Trust, reports the Guardian. The journal, discovered outside the expedition’s base after summer snow melted, illuminates many of the images Levick shot, notes Antarctic Heritage Trust program manager Lizzie Meek.
