A parent asks our group: My 3 yr old son (not formally diagnosed with SPD but shows MAJOR signs) is petrified of getting his hair cut. He had his first hair cut when he turned 1 and was fine but now were to the point of having 2 of us hold him still while they cut his hair. He screams, cries, gets goosebumps all over his body when they go near his neck and ears. I mean, Im to the point of letting him look like a shaggy dog because I hate to hear him cry over a simple cut. It obviously isnt hurting him (like we think it would hurt) but for an SPD child, it does. I am very new to this sensory world so any input from you guys would be appreciated!! Thanks so much!
