A partnership of the Appalachian RC&D, Appalachian Sustainable Development, and the new Boone Street Market have been awarded a two-year $100K grant from the USDA Agriculture Marketing Service to promote and market locally grown to consumers of the greater Tri-Cities region with the end goal that consumers of all sized pocketbooks are purchasing more fresh local foods, supporting local farm economy. So for that... we need marketers! Creative thinkers! Communicators! To identify the best communication channels for this regional endeavor. It is our intention not to re-invent the wheel but to add value to the many good things that are already going on. This call to action requires your in-kind contribution of time, so thanks in advance for your consideration. However, we do have a little money for marketing services that could lead out of this gathering. January 29th, 11:00 am, Food City Press Room 300 Clinchfield St. Park behind the store on Roller Street and follow signs to Press Room. Light snacks will be served. Thank you for your RSVP (apprcd@gmail) or referral on to another who would be a good creative thinker. On behalf of us three organizations, we look forward to hearing from you.
