A peaceful breakfast at the beach. The calm of people living without sirens is breathtaking. I have been outside on the Tel Aviv promenade for hours enjoying people living a Shabbat morning walking & running, families together, beach goers and volleyball players. While calm and no sirens I also know that no one here takes this for granted. No one should ever need to ask where is your bomb shelter. Asking for the daily special seems to make more sense. I admit my amazement with happiness having arrived in Israel one week ago greeted with an overhead rocket explosion during dinner to my sweet quiet breakfast overlooking the sea this morning.
