A peaceful weekend to us all, in Jesus Name. Amen. Let us meditate on our Devotional 4 2day titled: I SHALL NOT LACK. Our Bible Text is Psalm 23:1. I am, daily, fully assured by Num.23:19; Heb.13:5,6 and John14:1 that I am in safe hands if I dedicate my life solely 2 my Creator, God Almighty, Jesus Christ. What about u? What gives u d assurance of a glorious tomorrow? Man, money, a talisman from a witchdoctor or faith in ur Creator who sent u into earths madding crowd? Over d years, I av observed that men are easily shaken bcos they cannot see God physically. So, they put their trust more on things temporal than things eternal. A friend lives next to a beer parlour in Surulere, Lagos. D patrons of d joint always weewee behind his room window. D stench from there was terrible. To discourage d nuisance, my friend wrote a small signpost: PLEASE DONT URINATE HERE AGAIN and erected it @ d spot. Nobody gave d plea a damn. Next, he changed d sign to: PLEASE DONT URINATE HERE AGAIN, IN JESUS NAME. This tended 2 infuriate d drunkards d more as d odour from d spot became more unbearable. A friend now advised him to write: PLEASE URINATE HERE EVERYDAY. MY WITCHDOCTOR NEEDS UR URINE FOR D WEALTH CHARM HE IS PERFECTING 4 ME. D day he erected d signpost was d last anybody urinated on d spot. U must wonder wt me, why humans tend to fear witchdoctors more than God Almighty? One is visible and d other, invisible. James 4:2b assured me that whatever I NEED that I dont av is bcos I did not ask as Christ exhorted @ Matt.7:7. James 1:6 says I should ask in faith bcos thats what pleases God - Heb.11:6. Our needs were provided, spiritually, inside our clenched fists as we were born. All that we need do in due time 4 each of d needs is to ask d Provider, ur Shepherd and u wl av them. We must distinguish btwn our NEEDS and LIKES. D former wl keep us focused on our mission on earth while d latter will take us to a strange land of no return. Heaven 4bid! Examine ur life everyday. Reconcile daily wt ur Maker whenever ur needs are not being met. He is faithful and merciful. He will lead u beside still waters and even prepare a banquet table b4 u in d presence of ur enemies. Believe and trust ur Maker only. He shall b ur Shepherd and U SHALL NOT LACK, in Jesus Name. Amen. Praise the Lord. Alleluia
