This is to advise that on October 20, 2013, the Minister of Environment has referred the Environmental Assessment Report to the Environmental Assessment Review Panel for review, in accordance with Part IV of the Environment Act and Section 24(2) of the Environmental Assessment Regulations. The proposal entails the development and operation of a natural gas liquefaction plant, liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker terminal, and associated marine facilities in Goldboro, Guysborough County, Nova Scotia. The project is being designed to provide an LNG send-out capacity of 10 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) and a gross LNG tank storage capacity of approximately 690,000 cubic metres (m3). The proposal also includes the development of a 180 megawatt (MW) on-site gas-fired power plant.
