A pen has become the target of violence after innocent kids. A small segment is also justifying and glorifying openly the carnage in France. This is obviously with political sympathies and protection in India!! These protectors forget that their unholy power derived from such patronage of rotten and rabid philosophy of radicals will be usurped by the same constituency as has happened in Pakistan. Some notable related points. 1. Influence of radicalism starts from religious heads who drill the jehadi agenda starting from the tender age of kids. Why cant they instill the humanitarian spirit of love, compassion, tolerance, mutual respect, spirit of inquiry, reasoning, science and progressive ideas instead of dogma, fundamentalism and rituals? This shortcut is to get a constituency who cant question them if there is a deliberate misinterpretation by using common masses and their ignorance as tools for easy and instant power. They know the real responsibility for the happiness, progress and development requires more hard work and commitment. Corruption of power at its heights is visible here. 2. Then the half baked neo religious intellectuals like Imran Khan jump in the frey to get easy political mileage by supporting Taliban etc. There is an echo in India too where some leaders have announced awards for French killers to glorify them and their acts because of political patronage and increasing radicalism in India. 3. Radicalism is on the rise from Iraq to Pakistan to even India as Saudi hand is strongly suspected for this very purpose of increasing chaos in whole world as if preparing for an unholy war where USA is sitting with closed eyes for their strong ally Saudi Arabia. 4. USA had cultivated Mujahideens in Afghanistan and now we have Taliban grown by Pakistan with an increasing control in Afghanistan after pullout of allied western powers. Al Qaeda was supported by USA and came back to haunt them. This never fails to happen but obviously there are no lessons learned by powers. Finally, worrisome thing is that this radicalism is on the rise worldwide and there is lack of political and religious will to cut it from the grassroots. Its seeds are grown from the school book texts, madrassas etc., to power hungry rightists as opportunists. West has to also understand that these people are product of a religion and unable to comprehend their secular and free thinking principles at a scorching pace. You can feed medicine only in the required dose otherwise overdose becomes dangerous instead of cure. Instead of confrontation or political mileage from polarity, a sensible approach of mutual and gradual change in the basics is required. Comments are most welcome as always.
