A person recently told me about their experience with a friend. They had a discussion about alternative lifestyles. They had a disagreement. The Christian said, “I’m just quoting what the Bible says about a marriage between a man and woman.” Christians are not called to be abrasive. We find these words in I Peter 3:15b, “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” Tell the truth in love. Never back down. Christian men and women gave their lives to establish this nation. We have freedom to express our convictions from God’s Word. Our “politically correct” society practices intolerance and employs intimidation as their tools. “Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.” Live your faith in the power of the Holy Spirit, and you will fear no more.
