A plea for common sense. This page is a great forum for questions out of the ordinary, like the one below on waterproofing the seatbox. There are some great, well thought out answers, like Joss about overpressuring. Even the old chestnut of this bolt is stuck, how do i get it out is kinda ok. But the endless supply of questions along the lines of which oil in the gearbox? Or how tight should i do my wheel nuts up? Are beginning to get on my nerves. Buy the workshop manual, or at lrast the Haynes one. Learn to use it. While youre at it, buy the parts list too. If you know a great little trick, like the killaspray for topping up gearbox oil, please share the love. But please, if its less than safe or sensible, dont bother. It seems there are a large number of inexperienced and impressionable landy owners here, who need to benefit from the wisdom of the collective experience, not be led astray by bodging, dangerous Muppets. Those of you out there innovating, I salute you. The chaps using FB instead of a manual, please think twice about posting and more importantly about the quality of advice you are being given... The guys who think they know it all, well youre not going to listen anyway!
