A plumber Im not. Have gas logs in rec room and bought a new fangled infrared gas heater. Thought it would be a quick one for one change-out. Wrong. The adapter connection I was sold with the heater did not work. Two weeks ago back to Lowes, they sold me 2 brass connectors. Did not work. Yesterday back to Lowes with all the pieces (less the heater itself). The gas lady tried but passed me to a plumbing guy that passed me to his supervisor. Two more connectors bought. Went to install, this morning and it would not connect to the heater. Back to Lowes ... this time with the heater AND all the parts. Just home. TWO HOURS at Lowes with five employees plus myself IN THE AISLE ... parts all over the place. FINALLY it all fits together. I say that but no I have not installed it. Tomorrow well try when Olivia is napping. A plumber Im not. BUT, sometimes the components Lowes sells you just wont work. Oh counting the pieces they took back for credit ... my bill was $4.83 ... THREE WEEKS! But hey, if you are a veteran, tell the person ringing up ANY purchase and Lowes gives 10% a discount to any veteran.
