A poem I wrote (critique and comments are welcomed and appreciated) Traveling in search of home by Cameron Smucker The stars shine brightly in the southern sky The moon shines brightly way up high I search for a place in which I’ll go Please grant me peace since I’ve atoned Oh take me home Oh take me home Take me to a secret place Where no one ever lies Take me to a sacred place Where children laugh and grow Oh walking feet Oh walking feet Please take me where I need to go The sun is up so now I rest Within bushes I find berries to digest Nothing is ever simple there are always pests Though I try to manage these things For I know it is for the best Take me to a secret place Where no one ever lies Take me to a sacred place Where children laugh and grow Oh walking feet Oh walking feet Please take me where I need to go My feat grow worn out though I continue To give up is to simply die Traveling in search of a home with only nature For I have no other traveling guide I’ll travel this path until I finally arrive Take me to a secret place Where no one ever lies Take me to a sacred place Where children laugh and grow Oh walking feet Oh walking feet Please take me where I need to go
