A poem i did for class hours last week. tell me what u think? Beautiful Dreamer Was it you that I saw in my dreams? This longing for something whole feels so surreal continuous Your frost-like finger tips graze the side of my face I shiver Was it you that I saw in my nightmares? This void in my heart can’t be filled As you stand across from me, your eyes reflect the same as mine Loneliness Can you feel this connection? With my out-stretched hand I reach out to you To only have it go right through you like a mirage An optical illusion My heart feels a twinge Responsiveness undistinguished, obscured. What is this? You hide your fleeting smile behind a slender pale hand So delicate, so cruel Your eyes beckon me into the shadows I go as you please Concede to this unknown terrain Can you feel this connection? This estranged awareness? Beautiful nightmare Your arms wrap around me like a pleasant deliverance Taken into the darkness For once I smile Hoping to never again wake from this beautiful fantasy
