A profound word from Deborah Shepherd: Faith - the substance/assurance of things hope for and the evidence/proof of things not seen. My faith is in God and what he has for me. The assurance that what GOD has given me is for me to ensure that I am a good steward over it. Just as the two other people who took what was given to them and increased what they had so we are to do the same. In money? Yes in money but also in gifts, mind, body, soul and our walk with God. All have been placed in our care to make life better for others. I cannot make life better for others until I use what God has given to me to be the proof that He will provide for those who trust Him and trust those He has given an anointing to help others. The Master who left stewardship with his three employees had given instructions before he left. It is evident in what the one who chose to avoid using the instructions given when he said I knew you were a hard master. So fear stopped him from investing what he had. Even if the story was only given for gifts or personal talents only, do you not invest in your gift/talent to ensure that it ministers to others? I do not see receiving information about investment as an invitation to worship money but I do see it as an opportunity to make a step to being a better steward. Just as I see going to school is an investment in an opportunity to obtain a job. Its not a matter of doctrine, its a matter of studying to better understand ALL that God has in His word for us to take in and blossom. Thank you Pastor Larry Williams for sharing the knowledge God has allowed you to share with us. I accept the challenge.
