A question for my musician friends -- especially those of you who - TopicsExpress

A question for my musician friends -- especially those of you who are making a living at music (and those trying to): How do you factor money into your career decisions? I am taking a very interesting course called #MoneyMap to freedom, and it has us doing all sorts of exercises and thinking about how we charge for what we do etc that seems quite foreign to conversations Ive heard about musicians and money. Id be VERY interested in your perspectives. Do you decide how much you want for the life you want to live or do you see how much you can get for what you want to do? How do you engineer it? OR, is money not a factor at all in your equation?? I remember in an interview Paul McCartney saying The Beatles would put out a new album and say thats the new swimming pool! -- connecting the musical output to their specific desires, but I usually dont hear conversations along those lines among musicians -- do you? THANKS!!
