A quick shout out to Leslie Guthrie, Decatur native and owner of Gutherie Guthrie Contemporary Gallery in New Orleans. Leslie played the hostess with the mostest when some of our Carnegie Travel Group visited her gallery on Saturday. Not only did Leslie give us a quick tour of her gallery, she also offered advice on great shops to visit along the marvelous Magazine Street shopping district. If that werent enough, when our youngest traveler was hit with a sudden attack of puffy red irritated eyes, Leslie quickly identified the problem as an Oak Pollen allergy, rushed him and his mom (Kim Vice Mitchell) to the local CVS and obtained eye drops to fix the whole sordid mess!
