A rare rant from me: what the hell was ABC thinking when they cut - no, make that eviscerated - A Charlie Brown Christmas? What did they gain, maybe 30 seconds in which to shove another commercial? We boomers have been watching this for almost 50 years, did they not think we would notice: * Shermans line when told he was going to play a Shepard: Every year its the same thing, I always play a Shepard. * The whole jingle bells scene between Lucy and Schroeder ...plus other quick cuts that removed the mood-setting between scenes.
