A rather splendid view taken at Leicester Central railway station, on April 18th, 1964, showing D6801 working a York to Bournemouth train: https://flickr/photos/railcam/15049002983/sizes/l The locomotive was new in December 1962 and at the time of the picture was allocated to Darnall engine shed in Sheffield. It spent its entire career being attached to Eastern Region depots. Later in life it was renumbered to 37101 and again to 37345. Withdrawal came, when allocated to Immingham, in February 1994. It was scrapped, at Immingham, by the Harry Needle Railroad Company in August 2003.
