A recap of what we had done this year and we would like you to - TopicsExpress

A recap of what we had done this year and we would like you to share the effort and time we put in again. Thanks much guys... We may be called Anyhow, but when it comes to music, this local band definitely never anyhow. They started in August 2013 as a group of three that posted covers of English, Chinese, Hokkien and even Korean songs on YouTube, and now has five members: lead vocalist Desmond Ng, bassist and vocalist Jayden Chew, drummer Joe Lee, guitarist Wara Leong as well as keyboardist and guitarist Prakash John, or PJ. Since their official debut in May, they’ve gone from screen to stage, performing once a week at Scarlett City at Ang Mo Kio, Resorts World Sentosa and Jest D’Place at Choa Chu Kang. They also continue to post YouTube videos, and are working on their debut album, which they hope to release early next year. In June, Anyhow scored an online hat trick with Singapore Dapor, or Singapore guy in Hokkien. It was their take on the version of the song Malaysia Chabor, or Malaysian girl in Hokkien. The song was written by Malaysian singer-songwriter Namewee, and went viral across the Causeway. Anyhow rewrote the lyrics and turned it into a quirky take on National Service. youtu.be/VF1NqAlRDy8
