A recent change in telephone policy will prevent direct dial-in capabilities to Kadena Air Base. This means Japanese commercial numbers will no longer be able to directly call a US government DSN phone (i.e. Kadena Appointment Line). Callers will now have two options: 1) Dial the Kadena AB Telephone Operator at 098-961-1110 and request to be connected to the desired DSN number, or 2) Dial the Kadena AB Auto Attendant at 098-631-1111 or 098-938-1111 to obtain a secondary dial tone. This secondary dial tone provides the ability to call any Kadena AB 63X-XXXX, 64X-XXXX, or 966-XXXX number.
