A recipe to kick congestion, before it becomes bronchitis, or pneumonia. Just about every year of teaching, I would be sick, for sometimes for a month. Often, many students would be hospitalized with pneumonia. One year, I ended up with bronchitis, that the antibiotics werent touching, so I figured out what the cause was and how to end it. If you find yourself stuffing up and getting chest congestion, this will help you kick it in 5-7 days! Some of the bronchitis we get is caused by drainage from the sinuses in the head, down into the airway, carrying bacteria with it. Step 1: Flush the sinuses. You can find recipes for nasal saline solution online. Some use a neti pot; I just drink the solution through one nostril at a time, flushing out the bad stuff. The salt would also help shrink the inflamed cells. Step 2: Snort a dab of Ayr Nasal Saline Gel up each nostril. This moistens the cell linings and keeps the little cilia/hairs happy. These cilia move mucus along. Its good to use this gel in dry environments and dry buildings, or when air conditioning is used. Step 3: Take an antihistamine and decongestant. The decongestant will open up the sinus passages, so the sinuses wont clog and begin to grow bad bacteria. The antihistamine will slow the fluid amount, draining from the sinuses. So now, youve taken care of the source of bad bacteria, flowing to the lungs and infecting them. Step 4: Use Mucinex expectorant to get that nasty stuff out of your lungs. Step 5: Drink lots and lots of water.
