A reminder to all to register to vote in the European Parliament Elections before 6th May next week! aboutmyvote.co.uk/default.aspx You have to be 18 and over to vote, but you can register from 16. Do not worry if you are not sure if you are registered, you can find out easily through the website above. Also, if you are registered already, you will have received a white ballot paper that informs you that you can vote in the European Parliament elections (the blue ballot papers are for local elections going on across the UK but not in all areas). The election takes place in the UK on May 22nd! If we want to make sure Gender is on Europes agenda we have to vote in the Political Parties and Independent Candidates that are prioritising policies that improve conditions across Europe for Women, young Women and Girls. In the upcoming weeks NAWO will host on our Website MEP Candidates supporting the Young Women Speak Out Manifesto and tweeting info on European Parliament so that you can decide who to vote for in your region. Those supporting the Manifesto have made a commitment to support young womens rights, lets hold them to this and show that young women do want to vote and are creating change!
