A reminder to new members. DO NOT come into this group and recommend against the use of medications. Consulting with a vet about medications is supported in this group and clearly defined in the docs in the group files. We will not tolerate or bother with the but there are side effects to meds discussions. We are aware of those side effects because there are studies done that have documented them. There are also studies that have documented the impact of not treating chronic fear, stress and anxiety. If this policy regarding the use of medications troubles you there are plenty of other groups where folks can talk endlessly about the products available that have provided no documentation regarding their efficacy in treating what our dogs are dealing with.
