A riot broke out from 7 am - 8 am this morning at Xuan Loc Prison camp, division 1, where conscience prisoner Tran Huynh Duy Thuc and other are detained. Cause: prisoners were beaten, diet garbled The prisoners were holding a hostage, Hồ Phi Thắng, the Superintendent of Xuan Loc prison camp inside. The prisoners were taking control of the situation inside, the police did not enter inside the area. Need supports from overseas media to avoid persecution. Please pass this information to the media such as, RFA,VOA, BBC to conduct interviews and live reporting. There are about 1000 prisoners currently detained at Xuan Loc, with 10 being conscience prisoners in Division 1. These 10 political prisoners are being held in solitary confinement, not in common with the other prisoners. In 2005, at this prison camp, subcamp 3, the political prisoners held a protest opposed the harsh brutal policies and they took control of this subcamp for 1 day and held hostage Superintendent Nguyễn Trung Binh inside the hall. The conscience prisoners who were detained in camps 1, Xuan Loc prison from 2007 - 2012 including: 1/ Trần Quốc Hiền - Thái Lan. 2/ Nguyễn Bắc Truyển - Sài Gòn. 3/ Lê Thăng Long - Sài Gòn. 4/ Lê Nguyên Sang - Đà Nẵng. Currently, the conscience prisoners are detained in here: 1/Trần Huỳnh Duy Thức. 2/ Phan Ngọc Tuấn. 3/Trần Hoàng Giang. 4/ Nguyễn Văn Phương. 5/ Việt Khang. 6/ Nguyễn Ngọc Cưởng. 7/ Huỳnh Anh Trí. ..... This is the toughest division in 6 Detention camps at Xuan Loc. Latest News said police had blocked off the road leading away from the camp of Xuan Loc (estimated at 5 km from camp). Phone connections have been jammed by police.
