A sad day yesterday, as we said our final goodbyes to fix- it-Brian (my father-in-law & the girls adoring Grandad)- our house may fall apart without you! The sun shone & the tears flowed (& later the wine, beer, etc). The girls came to the wake & behaved beautifully - Martha wanted to know where the cake & candles were - an essential requirement for any good party! Champneys took over the pub with their 3 top chefs from the spas & made fabulous food. The vicar exclaimed that he was a little intimidated by the number of people - the biggest funeral to be held at the church - that anyone can recall - a fitting tribute to a well-loved gentleman.
