A salient assessment of the education funding disagreement during the Town Hall debate between Rick Snyder and Mark Schauer - an exchange that took up the first 12 minutes of the telecast. I think they probably played it to a draw. But if youre a parent, the budget debate is an academic one. If youre a parent, youre not looking at state spending figures. Youre looking at what kind of education your child is getting, what kind of checks youre writing for things that used to be covered by your school taxes or what your childs teachers are saying.
