A scary thought. Forget housing... They have literally destroyed their county and are on to the next. As a guy with Chinese mates my comments are not derogatory towards Asians but I worry about the Auckland that my future children will live in. I do wish the government would place a tax on Chinese investment. If their money was driven into business/comercial that would be so much better. We have to face facts... Most of my friends cant afford to buy houses and this is now.. Our property increases are from population. But I can tell ya the property market is soaring because of Chinese off shore investment. I worry my kids will live in a city of renting form Chinese. I have no problem with Chinese buying houses ... But there has to be a tax. There has to be something in place that doesnt continue this disadvantage for the young kiwi family. Go to any auction room... And see for yourself
