A simple and painless way to make a difference to the families displaced by flooding and landslides in Nepal. My Nepali friend and colleague, Poonam just posted an article about the absolute rags and falling apart shoes and clothing that people in the west donate to charity. Much of it is unusable and ends up as landfill. How ridiculous, spending money to ship garbage across the world! Poonams friends are donating aid with the bucket people below. We have just sent a few buckets. Maybe you could too ? It is really easy and they only cost $10 each. The bucket in itself is so useful to people who have just lost everything I will post the article on the junk that gets given to charity that made me think about this below..it is in Nepali without translation, so I can only see the pictures…Poonam posted it with the words this is what I have been talking about !
