A situation can draw that surfing out of a competitor and given that they may need a ten relative to whats done in the heat so far, you could earn one in those circumstances. I wouldve been stoked to see Jordy get a ten on that wave given how well he surfed it and what the situation asked for. He rose to an occasion with unique lines, combinations, power and variety. He ticked every box. It was an incredible ride. It was clearly the best ride of this event in my eyes by a long shot and probably the best ride this year. Kelly Slater
