A six decade old tradition, given new life every year by the children its aimed to help. This week, children from the Family Home Orphanage in Osaka, Japan arrive in Honolulu. The goal of their trip is to play in the surf, sand, and learn some of the kindness of our military ohana in Hawaii. 2-27 Inf Regiment welcomes Orphans from the Holy Family Homes Orphanage from Osaka, Japan to Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Service Members from the Unit volunteer to be host families for the children caring and supporting the children while in Hawaii. The unit plans many events for the children and host families. The 2nd Battalion 27th Infantry Regiment and 1st Battalion 27th Infantry Regiment the Wolfhounds work together with the Holy Family Home sponsoring the orphanage from Japan. Service members and families volunteer to host the children from the orphanage. 2-27 Infantry Regiment (Wolfhounds) host the annual Holy Family Home Orphanage from Osaka, Japan. Families of the Wolfhounds volunteer to be host families for the chldren from the orphanage.
