A slight interruption to the veritable Halloween parade on FB today for a brief announcement: The Levite JCC of Birmingham will be producing the world premier of my theater for young audiences script Magic in the Attic (based on Yiddish folktales) this summer. Thanks to a grant just awarded to us by the Alabama Humanities Foundation, I will be able to participate in discussions with the cast and community about folktales, oral history, storytelling and making new theater. And now, back to your regularly scheduled costumed happiness.
