A small 45 sec video clip of Chinese musicians from Guilin - TopicsExpress

A small 45 sec video clip of Chinese musicians from Guilin (Guangxi, China) practicing something that sounds Irish on traditional Chinese musical instruments. On a leisurely evening stroll around the beautiful city of Guilin in Guangxi province of China, we were drawn to music from a nearby community center. When the musicians spotted us peeking in curiously, they graciously invited to sit with them and enjoy their music. One of the musicians played mera joota hai japani for us on his ektara like Chinese violin to show his love for Indian music. After about 30-40 minutes of fantastic music, Trisha sang a Carnatic music composition which got them spellbound. Some of them probably heard Carnatic music for the first time in their lives and were intrigued. They took out their phones and shot video of Trisha singing and later took photos with Trisha. They even let us handle their instruments. A great and memorable evening indeed.
