A small piece of info. The ebola virus exists quite happily in a number of animals and research has thrown up some interesting facts. The continuous never-ending reservoir of ebola viruses is hosted by fruit bats. It crosses over to primates monkeys and humans but the starting point is the fruit bat. We also know that bats are host to the rabies virus and rabies is endemic across the Philippines. Bats in the Asia/Pacific region also host a disease of the central nervous system that is often mistaken for Parkinsons disease which is a mean horrible complaint. Not a good death. My whole perception of bats has now changed. Just say that if a bat crosses my path from now on chances are he will be a flat bat!! Advice - NEVER NEVER touch bats.
